Obituary for Floyd Vandermark III
Floyd Jay Vandermark III of Scranton died Wednesday November 29, 2017 at home. His wife of 16 years is the former Sarah Plotkin.
Born in Carbondale he was the son of the late Floyd J. Vandermark II and the former Barbara Ellen Weaver Vandermark. A graduate of Carbondale High School, he was employed as a forklift operator at Mia Products in Moosic.
Floyd was an avid Denver Broncos fan but above all he was a loving husband, devoted father, and a great friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Also surviving are children Paul David Panusky, Georgia, Jamie Marie Panusky, Scranton, and Nicole Trista Vandermark, Simpson; grandchildren Marcus Pickard, Caroline Pickard, and Jayvon Santos; brothers Robert Vandermark and wife Jennifer, Florida, Ralph Vandermark, Florida, and Thomas Vandermark and wife Karin, Blossburg, PA; sisters Rebecca Fortuner Vandermark, Kutztown, and Lori Reiman, New York; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sister-in-law Thelma Rushworth Vandermark; sister Linda Ponce; brother Ronald Vandermark.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave., with the Rev. Ginger Daubenhauser as officiant. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
Friends and family may pay their respects Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m.
