John Robert Wilbur, 94, of Spickard, Missouri, formerly of Scranton died on January 1, 2018.
Born September 29, 1923 in Clifford Township, PA to Irving and Lelah (Pratt) Wilbur. John served in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII. He worked as a meat inspector for the U.S.D.A. retiring in 1979. John was a member of the First Baptist Church in Trenton and member of the American Legion, D.A.V., and the V. F. W.
Surviving relatives include his sons John Wilbur Jr. and wife Marie of Spickard and Butch Wilbur and wife Elaine of Platte City, MO, daughter Ruthann Kellogg of Moscow, PA, sister Lila Ranson of Tampa, FL, 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Those preceding him in death include his parents, brother Lee Wilbur and a sister Genevieve West.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be conducted on Friday at 9:30 am in the Madisonville Union Cemetery, Madisonville. Friends and family may pay their respects Thursday from 5-7 pm in the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave. Scranton.
