Joan C. Wynn, age 87, of Scranton died Wednesday June 6, 2018 at Allied Services Hospice Center. She previously resided at Clarks Summit Senior Living, Clarks Summit, and Lutherwood Senior Living
Community, Scranton. She was preceded in death by her
husband of 53 years, Edward F. Wynn, who died January, 2004.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late John and Lucille Newcomb
Naughton, she was graduated from Scranton Technical High
School in 1949.
She was a lifelong parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord Church in
South Scranton. She was known for her sweetness and kindness to everyone to
which she came in contact. She would appreciate acts of kindness
to honor her memory.
Surviving are her brother, Robert Naughton and wife, Mary, of
Scranton; daughter, Janet Rachko and husband Robert, of Toledo,
OH, a son, Martin and wife, Leandra, of South Abington Twp.; a
son, Patrick, of South Abington Twp.; a son, Kenneth and wife,
Ilona, of Ramstein, Germany; and a son, Michael and wife,
Jennifer, of South Abington Twp.; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-
grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Jeanne Naughton
Kelly; a niece, Sharon Kelly; and a grandson, Christopher Rachko.
The funeral will be conducted on Monday from the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave. with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. John Neumann Parish at Nativity Church, 633 Orchard St. Scranton. Internment at Cathedral Cemetery, will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Sunday from 2 - 4 pm.
