Rose Marie Castrogiovanni, 98, a resident of Scranton, died Friday morning in the Mountain View Care Center.
She was born in Scranton the daughter of the late Frank and Lucy Montana Cuirleo. She attended Scranton Schools and was a member of Saint Paul of the Cross Parish. Prior to retirement, she was employed locally in the garment Industry.
The family would like to thank Dr. Phillip Boccagno and his wife Maryann for all their care and kindness.
Surviving are a daughter, Paulette Szydlowski, Scranton; a son, Donald M. Gallo, Pittsburgh; six grandchildren John Szydlowski and his wife Maria, Tammy Arnold, Steven Szydlowski and his wife Amy, Paul Szydlowski, Adam Szydlowski and his wife Christina, Donald Gallo and his wife Jaime; 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her companion of many years, John Lucke and a son in law, John J. Szydlowski
The Funeral will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Miller Bean Funeral Home, 436 Cedar Avenue, Scranton with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Sacred Hearts Of Jesus and Mary Church, St. Paul Of The Cross Parish, 1217 Prospect Ave., Scranton. Interment will follow in the Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
