Obituary for David J. Simens

David J. Simens of Scranton died Saturday October 20, 2018 at the Gino Merli Veterans Center following a brief illness.
Born in Scranton he was the son of the late Anthony and Lois Henry Simens. A graduate of Dunmore High School, Class of 1967, he proudly served in the United States Air Force.
David was an avid outdoorsman who liked to hunt and fish, and enjoyed going off-roading in his Jeep.
Surviving are brothers Joseph Simens and wife Joanne, Madison Twp., Kenneth Simens, Lake Ariel, and Tony Simens, Moscow; sister Cheryl Lynn, Lake Ariel; longtime friends Chris Thiel Dickson City, and Don McHale, Scranton; nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements and interment in Dunmore Cemetery will be private at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave. Scranton.
