Mary J. Vince, 97, of Lakeville, formerly of Scranton died Monday December 10, 2018 at the Ellen Memorial Health Care Center. She was the widow of Joseph Vince who died in 1978.

Born in Scranton she was the daughter of the late Paolo and Anna Bufano Cannella.
She was a devout Catholic who said the Rosary daily. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church until it’s closing, and currently a member of St. Paul of Cross Parish.

Surviving are a daughter Ann Miller, Lakeville; sons Joseph Vince Jr. and wife Christine, Pittston, and James Vince and wife Heather, Springfield; granddaughters Maria Brogna and husband Tony, Jenna and Megan Vince; great-grandsons Anthony and Vincenzo Brogna; aunt Ann Cloruri; sister-in-law Gene Cannella; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by son-in-law Eugene Miller; sister Rose Dubiac; brothers John Cannella, Martin D. Cannella, and Nicholas M. Cannella.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church, St. Paul of the Cross Parish, 1217 Prospect Ave., Scranton. Interment Cathedral Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects Friday, in the church from 9 am until Mass time. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Jude Children’s Hospital PO Box 1893 Memphis, TN 38101.
