Billy graduated from Jefferson High School, Class of 1982. After earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Fairmont State University in 2015, he moved to Scranton, PA, where he worked for Cigna Healthcare. However, his real work was in helping others. He loved to volunteer and aid those in need. He will be greatly missed at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Clarksburg, WV, where he served as a deacon. He often prayed for others to find Jesus and stated he was at peace because he knew where he was going, to be with the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his brother Joseph L. Berry. He is survived by an aunt, Shirley Tolbert of Charles Town; niece, Melba Berry of Charles Town; nephew, John Berry of Charles Town; great-niece, Kendra Jackson of Silver Spring, MD; great-nephew, Jose Berry of Decatur, GA; special cousin Darin Patterson of Fairfax, VA; goddaughter Carmen Good of Ranson; and a host of cousins, family and friends that will dearly miss him.
Private interment will be at Milton Valley Cemetery in Berryville, VA. A memorial will be planned for a later date. Donations can be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org.
