Thomas R. Cosner, 73, of Scott Township passed from cancer under the care of Hospice of the Sacred Heart on Saturday September 26, 2020. He and his life partner, Diana Snyder have happily shared the last 30 years together.
Born December 23, 1946 in Clarks Summit, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Madeline Teel Cosner.
Tom “Tommy” was a very giving and caring life partner, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His family was very important to him and they will always carry his memory in their hearts. He loved to go for rides on his Honda motorcycle and was a big collector of trains. You would always see him in his jeans, pearl snap shirt, and cowboy boots. Tommy could fix anything and was always there to help anyone at any time.
Surviving are his partner Diana Snyder, son Bill Cosner and wife Brenda, daughter Gloria Stryweski; Diana’s children son Todd Bovee and daughter Roberta Slominski and husband Shawn, as well as two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also four grandchildren whom he cared for like his own. Also surviving are his siblings Warren Cosner, Joanne Cosner, and Bruce Cosner.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Cosner who was his best friend and coffee buddy.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday October 3rd for immediate family only. Memorial contributions in Tom’s name can be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Dr., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
Arrangements and on-site cremation are under the care of the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc, 436 Cedar Ave. Scranton.
