Debra “Debbie” Coulon, 62, of South Scranton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020, at Geisinger Community Medical Center ICU after suffering a stroke. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Michael Coulon.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of Marilyn Owens and the late Bruce Owens. She was a 1977 graduate of Scranton Technical High School and a former CNA at the Jewish Home of Eastern Pa. Debbie was a devoted mother, grandmother, wife, daughter and aunt.
Surviving are her husband, Michael; daughter, Tara Jordan; stepson, Benjamin Coulon; six beloved grandchildren, Zach, Cayden, Liberty, Lucca, Jace and Ana. Also surviving her sister, Susan Lasota and husband, Julian; brothers, Gary Owens and wife, Linda; and Brian Owens and wife, Ellen; her nephews, many of whom she cared for, Timothy, Daniel and Benjamin Lasota, Joshua Owens, Andrew Owens and Shane Gerrity; aunt, Nancy Schadt; aunt and special friend, Kathleen Schadt; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Laurie Owens.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in the spring of 2021.
