Theresa C. Yarasavich, 68, of Scranton passed away peacefully at Geisinger Community Medical Center on Saturday, April 17, 2021.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Lillian Novack Yarasavich. She was educated in Scranton schools. She lived in California, Washington, D.C., as well as Puerto Rico as an entertainer.
Known by everyone as “Aunt Teri,” she was a loving, beautiful and adventurous soul. She was a sister aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten by everyone touched.
She had an eye for fashion and was known as a jokester. She had the ability to make anything into a creation. She beat cancer and with her friend, Sue Long, by her side, she was enjoying life.
Surviving are brother, Eddie Yarasavich; several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. She is also survived by her fur friends, Zena, Kiwi, Ebony and her beautiful threescore of birds.
She was preceded in death by sister, Carol Bazur; brother, Richard and Christopher.
The funeral will be conducted Thursday from the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave., Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Ann’s Basilica, 1233 St. Ann’s St., Scranton. Interment will follow in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
Friends and family may pay their respects Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Social distancing guidelines will be enforced and masks will be required.
