Brenda L. (Demchak) Holroyd, 58, of Ashley, Pa, entered into eternal rest Sunday, May 9, 2021, unexpectedly.

She was born in Wilkes-Barre on July 5, 1962, and was the daughter of the late Verna (Bonnie) Frenyea Demchak and the late Myron Demchak Sr. She attended the Mountain Top and Hanover Area School Districts.
Brenda loved her family, friends, and animals. Brenda may have been rough on the outside, but she had a heart of gold. She lived a hard life, but she had so much compassion for people and animals – alike. In a blizzard, she would give the shirt and jacket off her back to a cold stranger and/or a freezing animal – not worrying about herself, but just trying to help them live another day. One of the last things Brenda was able to say before she passed was “Don’t cry for me, be happy – have a beer for me and smile.”
In addition to her parents, Brenda was welcomed into her eternal rest by her husband Patrick Holroyd, her sisters; Penny Demchak Pawlowski Tomko King, Maryellen Demchak Romanowski, Verna (Little Bonnie) Demchak Dillion Devins, and Kimberly (Kimmy) Demchak Lacey; her brother, Myron Demchak, Jr., and many other beloved family members.
Surviving are her siblings: Myra (Demchak) Nesbitt and her husband Kerry Nesbitt Sr, Sugar Notch; Bobbiejo (Demchak) Washick and her husband, Eric Washick Sr, Wilkes-Barre; Bonniejo Vanderlick and Gerald Kauffman, Kingston; and Robert Vanderlick, Nantickoke; her dogs and cats; and many (great) nieces and nephews.
Private arrangements for the family are being made. A memorial dinner will soon be held for family and friends, details will be listed on Facebook. In lieu of flowers - please make any type of donation (monetary or items of need) to The SPCA of Luzerne County https://www.spcaluzernecounty.org/
